2014 EcoHack

Skills involved
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, CartoDB

The 2014 EcoHack was a 12 hour hackathon hosted by Etsy at their office in DUMBO. I joined the team led by Angel Hsu and Alisa Zomer, who work at Environmental Performance Index at Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy, Environmental Performance Measurement Program. They provided a gargantuan data set containing carbon emissions data for most of the world's countries from 2002 to 2012, as well as for many cities in those countries. The goal was to visualize this data to use in an article. We spent the next four days bashing heads against walls. I used CartoDB to visualize the data over a world map.
